The italian farm "Le Macine" ("Millstones") is located in Abruzzo, surrounded by an astonishing scenery, between the blue Adriatic sea and the gently-sloping hills.
In this 45-hectare easy-to-reach farm revive the charm of a small countryside hamlet, with cereal cultivation, orchards and olive groves, a lake, a wood and lovely-restored cottages. The wood-burning oven, the barbecue, the famous typical cuisine and the kind hospitality are the ideal setting for an unforgettable holiday
Located in a unique place for view and easiness of access, the farmhouse LE MACINE is formed by a little village of ancient country houses restored using the same techniques and the same materials of once, so to exalt and keep inalterable the original charm and hospitality, assuring in the meantime modern comforts.
The largeness of the farm assures both the genuineness of its own products and the quality of the stay.
For our guests, in fact, surrounded by an oasis of quiet and nature, the hospitality of the structure and at the same time the closeness to centres of high artistic, naturalistic and historical interest and to amusement structures too are the warranty of unforgettable holidays.
In the open place, in the “piazzetta” Le Macine, the barbecue and the wooden-oven right ready to take out hot and tasty pizzas, a large lawn is available to sunbathe or just relax by reading a book or contemplating the immensity of the sea, the majesty of the mountains or an astonishing sunset in the total silence of the country.
RESTAURANT Once garage for the tools, is now a pretty little warm restaurant. The roof with the ancient wooden girders and the shaded roof tiles, the brick fire-place, the old and always dear tools of country hanging on the wall make magic and familiar the atmosphere: ideal to enjoy the typical cuisine and to taste a glass of a good Abruzzo Montepulciano and Trebbiano wine. Hospitality is available together with restaurant from April to October 2006. During Christmas and New Year’s, rooms and apartments are available without restaurant.
The guests are received in 8 cute and comfortable rooms and in pretty, large apartments.
Available for guest use: swimming pool, tavern, child’s games, tv room, and more. Possible kitchen use to be arranged.
