Museum of Farming Practices of Santulussurgiu

Museum of Farming Practices of Santulussurgiu
Santu Lussurgiu di Oristano is a charming village of touristic interest on the eastern side of Montiferru set in an ancient crater.
The area of Montiferru and the Abbasanta plain has a high concentration of ancient ‘nuraghi’ cultures and thus is of great archaeological interest.
The museum of Santu Lussurgiu (or Santulussurgiu ), run by the Cantro di Cultura Popolare U.N.L.A., is housed in an attractive patrician house and displays in an interesting way well-preserved objects used for work and daily activities by the Lussurgesi farmers.
Among the pieces on exhibit, there are tools of all sorts: for working the soil, shoeing horses and branding of livestock, for the harvest, weaving, cooking and bread-making, woodworking, etc.
