Back in 1895, Signor Guidotti had the brilliant idea to transform the stables of Villa Bottini into a sort of grocer’s shop. Since then, numerous famous people from Lucca and elsewhere, including the great composer Puccini and Luporini, have found refreshment at the shop. Today, after more than 100 years, you’ll still find the original interior as well as the spirit, aromas and flavours of its long-standing tradition. Three years ago a pizzeria with wood-burning oven was added along with a kitchen where the typical dishes of the region and tastings of local cured meats and special cheeses are prepared.
