The small town of Civitella Alfedana counts only 300 inhabitants.These people actually live in the heart of Abruzzo’s National Park.It’s amazing how the people of the village have been able to create such a balance between protection of the natural environment that surrounds them and their social and economic development. Because of this, the “Airone d’Oro” prize was given to this village in 1988.
All the natural areas abound with animal and plant life and are, at the same time, fully organized for hiking, making this place a hikers paradise.
Camosciara (Intramonti Feud) is the largest Italian natural resort and is located in the territory of Civitella.
