The north-eastern ridge of the Matese Molisano is the one with the highest peaks (mount Diletto 2050 m). All of the territory’s landscapes present carsic effects and fascinating compositions such as the various grottos, holes, chasms (very deep), dolinas and canyons; a perfect place for speologists and daredevils. There are many rivers and small gorges of water because of the heavy rainfall in this area. Many torrents are also present such as the Quirino, Biferno, Lete, Sassinoro, Acqua Calda, Callora, Tamarro and others.
