Within the protected area of Monteferrato, north of Prato, there is the Centre of natural sciences, a multi-purpose structure that houses a large collection of animals, from birds to fish and from mammals to insects, able to fascinate visitors of all ages. The section dedicated to prehistory, with numerous remains, is also worth mention. Planned guided visits assist in entering into the marvellous world of nature. The astronomical observatory and suggestive botanical garden, where it is possible to observe in the free state but within safe fences deer, falcons and wild boar, are not to be missed.
