ORGANIC AGRITOURISM IN MARCHE - FARMHOUSE RESTAURANT - ROOMS AND APARTMENTS - NATURALISTIC AREAS

The “Pieve del Colle” agritourism is a farm-house dating back to 1734, restored in 2001.
The agritourism is situated on a spacious and gentle hill, 351m above sea level, with a 360° view over the Metauro valley, Urbania, Peglio, Monte Nerone (1500m), Montiego (800m), Monte Catria (1700m) and over the Natural Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello.
The structure is at the centre of the Organic Farm which we run directly; we have 22 hectares at disposal as well as 9 more which are rented.
The agritourism is part of a protected naturalistic area which is called “Oasi di Montiego” and is crossed by a 42km long footpath (Urbania-Pieve del Colle-Montiego), signalled by the Comunità Montana, which is wonderful for hiking and also practicable on horse and on mountain-bike.
We have run the farm since 1978, cultivating various products and in 1999 we began the project of the agritourism.
We produce: vegetables, fruit, grapes, cereals, various seeds, pulses, fodder, wood, pigs, lambs, geese, chickens, pigeons and rabbits in a rigorously organic manner.
We use Solar Panels to heat the water.
From the agritourism you can easily reach naturalistic areas: Monte Catria and Monte Nerone, Oasi di Montiego, the State Natural Reserve of the Furlo Gorge, the Natural Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello, the Alpe della Luna, the Mountains of the Cesane, the Tecchie Woods, the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park, the della Rossa and Frasassi Gorge (the Frasassi Grottoes), the Conero Natural Park (Sirolo and the Due Sorelle), Monte San Vicino, and the National Park of the Sibillini which is only 2 hours away.
You can also easily reach cities of Art such as Urbania, Urbino, San Leo, Gradara, San Marino, Fano, Pesaro, Corinaldo, Assisi, Arezzo, the Monastery of Fonte Avellana, Gubbio, and all of the Medieval Hamlets of the Montefeltro, of the Metauro valleys, the Foglia, the Alta Valmarecchia, the Candigliano, the Cesano, - the rivers which form our harmonious valleys.

The agritourism has 5 Bedrooms which are doubles or triples (Fleur-de-Lis, Sunset, Sunflower, The Oaks and The Grain) and an Apartment (The Little House) which can house 4 people and is also equipped to host handicapped guests.
On the lawn we have a swing and a see-saw for children to play with.
In our restaurant we use products which we cultivate and rear in the organic farm.  There are: cereals, vegetables, fruit, grapes, pigs, lambs, chickens, geese, rabbits and pigeons.  What’s more, we use fruit and wild herbs and grasses which we collect in the surrounding countryside.
We have a Museum of non-mobile Grain Thrashing, We organise courses about the acquaintance and use of wild herbs and grasses, cookery courses and courses of local artisan crafts.
There are various swimming pools nearby and lots of places at the river where you can go to keep cool (there are some marvellous natural pools called: i Cavalli Piccolo e Grande Kenia, le Foci, Parchiule etc.)
