Hotel Nicoletta is a recently constructed, three-star hotel located in a lovely and tranquil position just 50 metres from the sea in the centre of the town of Santa Maria Navarrese on the central eastern coast of Sardinia only 10 minutes from the port and Tortolì-Arbatax airport. The hotel is modern and comfortable (it opened in summer 2004) and offers 28 rooms with private bathroom and conveniences such as air-conditioning, mini bar, safe, hair dryer, TV and telephone. For our guests there is an ample and assorted breakfast buffet, underground parking garage, and a large panoramic terrace with sun beds and fitness corner.
We have an arrangement with the “Lungomare” restaurant (100 metres from the hotel) which overlooks the interesting tourist port of Santa Maria Navarrese, and they will take care of introducing you to the wonderful world of flavours, aromas, and scents of Sardinia.
Santa Maria Navarrese is a fraction of Baunei, and it takes just 10 minutes by car to get to the town. In the square in front of the church of the same name it is possible to admire the oldest oleaster plants in Europe. From the recently constructed port you can embark for excursions by boat to places like “Cala Sisine”, “Cala Mariolu”, or “Cala Goloritzè”.
Naturally the area offers numerous opportunities, for example there are 70 km of coastal trails including possibilities for free climbing, pot holing, hiking or simply enjoying the uncontaminated, wild Mediterranean maquis landscape. The “Selvaggio Blu” itinerary – five days of magic between the sun and the sea – is often described as one of the most beautiful trails in Europe.
